Some of the gorgeous furbabies waiting for their furever home! We have Ariel the water princess, Peter Pan the king and Leo the Lovely all waiting at Abandoned Pet Rescue with their friends. Stop by and say hi to them!! They're all loving and can't wait to go home with you!

Private about my details, but I felt obliged to leave a review to state that this is one of the most well run rescues in the area. Kara is kind, professional, and extremely helpful, as is the rest of their staff. I don’t think people realize just how much blood, sweat, and tears go behind running a rescue. Believe the glowing reviews and adopt, don’t shop.

From the moment I walked into that door I felt the bad vibes coming from the workers. With the exception of the one lady with dark hair that was very nice. I have never met that many unfriendly & unwelcoming ladies in my entire life! I ended walking out & will never return. If you want warm feelings from the staff, this isn’t the place to go. Makes me feel uneasy that they actually take care of animals.

Worst adoption center ever. They have so many animals and don’t focus on getting them adopted. Filled out the adoption application then drove 1 hour to the center to see Aerial. They wouldn’t let her out of her kennel so we could see her. They said Carolyn would call us to set up a meet and greet. Only to be sent home without Aerial and then we waited a week for her call. And to this day we are still waiting for her to call. We left a voice mail everyday since then to get no response. Sent them an email everyday to get no response. They have no interest in adopting animals as they are to overwhelmed with trying to take of the animals they have.rescued to adopt them out

I volunteered at APR for a year before I moved out of state and I was impressed on the dedication of the staff and volunteers. If you are looking for a place to volunteer this is a great place to do so! They have so many great dogs too!

From the first call, Kara was very informative and caring making sure that any and all adoptable pets go to a great home. She made the whole process stress free and was able to get things done in timely manner. I had a few meet and greets with the puppy Finn ( now Rémy) I was adopting and every volunteer and guest who came into contact with him loved him! I’m happy to say that in the 2 months that I have had Rémy he has succeeded far beyond my expectations . He is now fully crate/ house trained and knows he’s basic commands in 3 languages. He’s one smart little pup and so well behaved and tempered that I’m blessed that I was able to adopt him and give him a loving home! Even though he may have his 🐾 wrapped around my finger 😆 I wouldn’t change it for anything! Thank you Abandoned Pet Rescue for ALL your help! Rémy says he’s living his best beach life!

Adopted my lovely cat, mango (formerly named trick) back in December from Cheryl. She was great and thorough in making sure mango went to a great home. The process was long but I appreciated all the thought they put into making sure the pets go to a great home. Mango gets along great with our other cat and I’m so glad we rescued him from here!

Got my baby there, extremely nice staff. Figured I would update my review and show case some of Snickers and I’s adventures. I adopted Snickers at age 6 and she is now 12 and doing great.
